Composing

As well as pop music, I'm fascinated by experimental genres and using non-traditional sound palettes and synthesis. In 2019, I released Tipping Point – an instrumental electronica concept album inspired by the cheery topic of impending global disaster.

About me

I've been working in music for over 15 years. With my band Alpines, I produced three albums for major and independent labels, co-wrote a UK top 20 hit with Sub Focus, and released a certified gold single.Over Alpines' 10-year career, we travelled the world, worked in top-flight studios, and collaborated and toured with world-class producers and artists like Craig Silvey, Chase & Status, Florence and the Machine, Disclosure, and The xx.As the band came to an end, I started co-writing, producing and mixing songs for alternative pop artists, always putting the artist first. My mantra is ‘know the rules so you can break them,’ and I recognise that there are an infinite number of ways to approach the art of music production. In 2022 I became the co-owner of the prestigious Hackney Road Studios near Hoxton, a top-class studio facility with two inspiring spaces, each with a vintage mixing console (one SSL and one Neve). With this as my base, I'm able to work on any type of production project with top-of-the-range equipment at my fingertips. After co-hosting the podcast ‘The Process of Production’, which interviews the best and brightest music creatives about their workflow, I've discovered a passion for sharing my love of music production. I'm now exploring this through tutoring, as well as lecturing at ICMP.I'm always looking to explore new creative avenues and projects, so drop me a line if you're interested in working together.
